Sammi Cheng is a Hong Kong actress, one of the highest paid female entertainer in Hong Kong, and had acted in several famous film like Summer Holiday, Love on a Diet, Infernal Affairs III, and so on.

The former boyfriend of Andy Hui, who recently converted to Christianity and has experienced a 180 degree change, finally released her first studio album in years with Faith (信). Sammi Cheng released “Believe Faith” gospel album packed with her “MOOV LIVE 2009″ following another Cantopop singer like Eason Chan and Joey Yung.

This album contains 10 tracks full of her insights about life and spiritual. Sammi also collaborated with MC Yan on the concert theme song “信者得爱 – Believers Are Sure Of Love”, 24Herbs on “罪与罚 – Crime And Punishment”, Ivana Wong on “The Outcome”, and Chow Yiu Fai on “Amen”. Sammi also covers Zac Kao’s “不要惊动爱情 – Don’t Disturb Love”.

Sammi who appeared at the launching of Show Mi Blu Ray DVD was accompanied by her boss, Peter Lam. When asked about her concert DVD sales exceeding double platinum, Sammi said that she is very happy and is proud that she decided to hold the concert because it changed her attitude. If not because of this concert, her long holiday may not have ended and her attitude towards others may not have also changed. When asked that she was said to transform from the old Sammi who has the nick name of (smelly four) to the current (smiley cheng), Sammi said that she likes the new nickname which refers to a happier her. She said that last time because of stress at work, she does not know how to smile but now she has learn to take things easy.

Sammi said that although she don’t go to church everyday, however it is part of her life which changed her life. When asked if she is more open now, she said that it is not that she does not see things openly last time, but because in each stage of a person’s life, there will be different ups and downs and there will be different ways to improve ourselves.
